The DCC-9+ is a connected, intelligent electric vehicle energy management system (EVEMS). Like the classic DCC, it enables a charging station to be connected directly to the main power supply of a dwelling which would otherwise not have sufficient capacity or the necessary configuration to allow the connection. The DCC-9+ stands out for its ability to protect the entire electrical infrastructure when used in Connected mode through multi-level energy management.

OPERATION

The DCC-9+ is designed for a connection with an electrical panel of max 125A. For panels of up to 200A, see the DCC-11+.

Individual Mode

  • The DCC-9+ protects the existing electrical infrastructure (feeder) of a dwelling or condo. It can be connected to the HUB by RVE at any time to enable intelligent multi-level energy management for a building.

Connected Mode

  • The DCC-9+ is connected to the HUB by RVE to protect the entire building’s electrical infrastructure by managing the energy, in addition to protecting the electrical infrastructure (feeder) of the dwelling or condo to which it is connected.

  • Fail-safe current designed to add 0A to the load calculation of the building or dwelling infrastructure when the DCC+ loses communication with its parent HUB or detects an open current transformer (CT) on the feeder to the dwelling it is monitoring;
